Bahia de Caraquez is
one of the major Ecuadorian beach resorts. Housed in the Chone
estuary lies Bahia, a laid back Pacific resort with a nice
river fronted by well sculptured parks on the Alberto Santos
Malecon. A small city easy to manage with very well preserved
and clean beaches.
Several hotels are located around the ferry
close to San Vicente and others
along the beach.
Bahia de Caraquez, or simply Bahia as Ecuadorians call
it, is a resort town that was developed largely due to to the
fact that a former Ecuadorian president liked to vacation
there. Although a clean and friendly city, there is not much for the
beachgoer to see or do here. |
