Galapagos Surfing

Surfing can take place around any of the inhabited areas of the Galapagos Islands and only around them. Only day trips are allowed, so that the conveniences of the local services have to be used.

Moreover, surfing is permitted only under the supervision of an official « Facilitador de ola » (surf guide).

The main surf spots are Carola, El Canon, El Tongo, and the Loberia. There are also spots only accessible by boats. Three boats rides are included in the tour and can be used for either fishing, surfing, or snorkeling depending on the conditions.

Important Information:

3/2 fullsuit or spring is recommended from April through October.

Guayaquil to Galapagos flight time 1 hour, the breaks are very near the airport.

All spots are for advanced surfers only. All spots are no more than a ten minute taxi ride from the Main town.
